Essay Topics That Will Get Your Students Noticed In Grade 9

Essay Topics That Will Get Your Students Noticed In Grade 9With all the homework I get, one of the most intriguing parts is where to look for English essay topics. Of course, Shakespeare would always be a good idea, as well as other Renaissance authors. But, what about French authors, or even other literary works that have changed history? With so many suggestions to look at, how do you decide which of these are the best to tackle?Romeo and Juliet are something that all teenagers have read by now. So it's always going to be a good topic. Shakespeare is also going to be a great topic, even though he didn't write it. It's just a classic tale that has been told time again. Of course, it may be easier for you to read this classic story aloud in class than it will be for you to write it out. However, there are no rules about whether you can or cannot rewrite this story, so whatever works for you is going to be fine.Shakespeare's Othello would also be a good topic, as he is also a playwrig ht, so you don't have to worry about plagiarism issues. You will still need to give Shakespeare credit though, as you're not just playing around with his words. Just read the text and try to figure out how the character felt. Try to figure out what makes the character tick.Other classics to consider include The Origin of Species, though it isn't exactly a 'classic' that is taught in grades nine and below, so you should really brush up on basic grammar. That way you can write a professional essay. A lot of young writers will use popular literature as their essay topics, but to really write the paper, you need to brush up on your grammar and basic writing skills. The French plays are also an option, so take the time to watch Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. Even though it's been a couple of centuries since the play was originally written, it's still a fascinating plot line. Some students, when they go back to write their essays, won't watch the film, but will try to follow the original source material.A complicated and difficult author like Ben Jonson is also a good topic to look at. Jonson was an English playwright who wrote his own words, and often wrote dialogue out. You can pick up a few of his plays as well, as well as his poetry, if you don't want to read anything written by Shakespeare. Take some time to check out his work, so you can get your students interested in this 'difficult' author as well. There are other topics that are considered good essay topics as well, so always keep the list handy. For example, if you've never seen True Grit, this is a great film. You can also go for a more modern film, like The Shawshank Redemption, about a prison, with easy lines and jokes that will catch the attention of your students.I'm not saying that Shakespeare and Jonson aren't good topics. I think that you can find any subject out there to work with. There are plenty of topics out there that can help get your students started with writing their essays and getting th eir papers noticed.
